1903 Class J70 TRAM

DETAILS:

I have built this Box Cab TRAM engine for my son Thomas. The tram is based on the character Toby from The Railway Series by Rev W.V. Awdry. Toby is a J70 Class tram locomotive with Side Plates and Cowcatchers, which were introduced in 1903 to replace the earlier Y6 engines. These engines were designed by James Holden for working the docks at Great Yarmouth, Ipswich and Lowestoft. The model was built as a battery powered unit with a passenger coach patterned after Henrietta, Tobys faithful coach.
